Training FAQs

  • Q: Where are the courses held?

The courses are held at our studio location 13325 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423.

  • Q: Are there any online courses?

Currently we are not teaching online. We are in the process of recording an on demand course that will be available at a later date. We will send out details to our mailing list and post on social media once it is complete.

  • Q: What is the max number of students allowed per class?

We keep the classes small to ten students max to ensure everyone has proper hands on time.

  • Q: How many days is the training?

The training is two consecutive days.

  • Q: Do I need to be a licensed massage therapist to take either course?

Experience is helpful but we don’t require you are a licensed massage therapist.

  • Q: Does the state of CA require a certification to practice lymphatic drainage?

CA law is grey in the area of practicing lymphatic drainage. Non licensed practitioners do lymphatic drainage with wooden tools and cavitation machines. They label themselves as body contour specialists vs. licensed massage therapist. Please investigate and consult the rules in your jurisdiction to your satisfaction.

  • Q: What is the difference between the regular lymphatic drainage course and the post op lymphatic drainage course?

The regular lymphatic drainage course focuses on the fundamental principles of lymphatic drainage, including Tatiana’s techniques for visible body contouring, detoxification, and understanding contraindications and benefits. This course prepares you to start your own practice in the body contouring industry.  However, it does not address protocols specific to post-cosmetic surgery care.

The post-operative lymphatic drainage course is designed specifically to treat clients recovering from cosmetic surgery, whether they have open or closed incisions. This course covers advanced techniques for minimizing scar tissue and fibrosis, proper use of K-taping, and the correct application of garments and foam boards. By applying these techniques, post-operative lymphatic drainage significantly enhances surgical results by accelerating the recovery process, reduces bruising, swelling, and healing time by up to 50%. *Please note this is a general statement. Client results will vary on a case by case basis*

  • Q: What is the difference between the group course and the private course?

Our group courses have up to ten students and are generally seven hours per day including a break for lunch. The class is longer because of the class size and students take turns on each other during handwork. The private course is one on one and generally  four hours per day including a break for lunch. The private moves much faster because the student is not sharing time with other students.

  • Q: Can I finance the course?

Yes you can finance through Cherry and we charge 5% to cover the transaction fee.

  • Q: Am I allowed to teach the course to others after I take the course?

No you are required to sign a non-compete to enroll in the training.

  • Q: Are the courses certified for CLEs?

No the courses are not currently certified as CLEs. However we plan to get certification in the future.

  • Q: Will I receive a training manual?

Yes we provide you with a training manual during the course.

  • Q: Will I receive a certificate?

Yes we will provide a course certificate after completion.

  • Q: When should I arrive to Los Angeles and depart if I am traveling to get there?

If you are traveling from out of town we strongly recommend you arrive the day before the course and leave the day after to ensure you do not miss any course time. The course starts promptly at the time given and if you miss any class time due to travel delays we do not guarantee that time will be made up.
